Model your business rules as part of the enterprise model

Business rules should not be conceived and documented separately from the enterprise model. This is one thing on which the experts are agreed. This view also corresponds to the integrated solution offered by TopEase Approach.
For this reason, TopEase XBench supports the definition and documentation of business rules as an integrated part of the enterprise model.

 TopEase Approach draws a clear distinction here between business rule modelling, i.e. the development of a business rule concept or documentation of this concept, and the technical development of business rules for use in a business rule engine or similar IT system.

Merging of the business view and IT view

The aim of TopEase is to bring together the business view and the IT view of business rule management: The business rules documented in TopEase can not only be used as a set of rules for the manual implementation of processes, but also offer the option of exporting the business rules from TopEase XBench directly into IT-based rules systems. For the customizing and integration of business rules from TopEase XBench, for example, the XML interface of TopEase XBench may be used.
